A table banking group calling themselves ‘The Pillars’ toured Kitui Central on Saturday to seek blessings from a parent of one of their members.
Carol Waweru, a senior member of The Pillars, said the group was created to assist its members grow economically and later became a strong family unit.
“Every year, we make three visits to homes across the country, according to proposals by our members. We also make visits to the homes of our members,” said Waweru.
Such visits to homes involve financial support and prayers,” said Waweru.
During the Kitui Central visit on April 13, 2024, Beneddetta Nyamai took the members to her home where they presented sofa sets and other presents to her ageing mother.
Nyamai and her husband are business people in Kitengela and have mentored several of their members.
The visit excited the villagers following the dancing styles exhibited by the members of The Pillars.
